Also known as the Strawflower or the Everlasting flower, this daisy-like plant is related to Helychrysums - a popular cottage garden plant that is enjoying a bit of a comeback. The attention-grabbing flowers are what makes this garden annual so unusual and what gave it the name of 'everlasting flower' - you really must grow them to see what the fuss is all about! As the big, intensely yellow blooms of Granvia Gold mature, they develop a deep orange centre giving the plant a bright golden glow. But that's not its most unusual feature - if you touch the petals, you'll be amazed to find that the actually feel like paper!
