This beautiful grass glows beautifully when backlit by the evening sun, casting a shimmering, gauzy veil that lifts the heavier masses of other perennials.A more compact version of the species, Sporobolus airoides 'JS Delicatesse' is perfect for smaller areas or front-of-the-border positions. Low clumps of fine green, fountain-like foliage turn a rich golden orange in autumn, fading to bronze in winter. From June to September, stiff stems carry panicles of tiny yellow-pink flowers float in a haze above the leaves.Ideal for dry gardens, prairie-style borders and coastal settings, Sporobolus airoides 'JS Delicatesse' thrives in hot, sunny conditions and poor soils. With its magical lighting effects, texture and movement plus autumn foliage colour, it makes a graceful choice for a wide range of garden styles. Ultimate height: 60cm (24in).
