Senecio herreianus String of Rubies (Purple Flush)

A close relative of Senecio, with ?String of Pearls? and ?String of Dolphins?, String of Rubies is an attractive trailing succulent with plump, fleshy leaves which turn a striking shade of ruby red when grown in direct sunlight. Othonna capensis is a simple-to-grow houseplant which is native to South Africa and produces bean-like leaves from pink stems which gracefully cascade over the side of its pot. Perfect for a sunny windowsill where it may produce yellow blooms throughout the year. Height: 10cm (4in). Spread: 30cm (12in).
