Rose rugosa 'Admiration' (Rugosa Rose)

Rose ?Admiration? is a vigorous variety, forming a compact, bushy shrub with thorny stems and matt, green foliage with prominent veining. This rugosa rose boasts highly scented, semi-double to double pink blooms with vivid golden-yellow stamens from July to autumn. A mass of decorative, fiery-coloured fruits follow the blooms and in autumn the leaves change to yellow to add further interest. Rose ?Admiration? is low maintenance, shows excellent disease-resistance and is drought-tolerant once established. Happily growing in most soil types and tolerant of coastal areas and pollution. An excellent choice for protective hedging and mixed borders and can even be used on dry banks as eye-catching ground cover. Height and spread: 75-100cm (29-39in).
