Pinus thunbergii 'Sayonara'

Pinus thunbergii 'Sayonara' delivers bold evergreen impact with its low, broad-spreading habit and rich dark-green needles that add year-round form and texture to sheltered courtyards, rockeries or contemporary beds. This dwarf Japanese black pine forms an informal dome of handsome foliage, often set off by attractive pale buds and, in time, small brown cones. Exceptionally hardy and tolerant of exposed coastal conditions, it makes an excellent architectural specimen for small gardens where its distinctive shape shines. Ultimate height: 50cm to 1m (20in - 3.2ft). Ultimate spread: 1m to 1.5m (3.2 - 4.9ft).
