Picea abies 'Nidiformis'

The 'Birds Nest Spruce' as it is often referred creates a wide spreading shape with a slight indent in the centre which gives rise to its name. It’s a slow growing variety that is usually wider than it is tall with each of the branches either horizontal or slightly dropping and clothed in dark green needles, which are covered in spring by fresh, light green new growth. Height 50-60cm.
