A rare and intriguing clematis which is originally from Nepal and parts of China. Clematis napaulensis produces luscious green foliage from autumn all the way through to early summer when it shreds its leaves. Bell-shaped flowers emerge in November and bloom through to spring, exuding an elegant fragrance to fill the crisp winter air and leaving behind eye-catching seed heads as the blooms fade. Grow in a sheltered spot through another deciduous climber to continue interest in the summer when the stems are bare. This incredible Old Man's Beard requires very little maintenance or pruning and is ideal for adding interest to your winter garden.Height: 3m (9') or more, depending on growing conditions and maturity.Spread: 1.5m (5').
