A dazzling introduction from T&M’s own breeding programme, Jasminum polyanthum 'Starry Starry Summer Night' bears a constellation of starry white blooms that burst from pink buds, releasing an intoxicating sweet fragrance that fills the air—an unmistakable signature of summer.This vigorous, evergreen climber is best grown in containers, making it a superb choice for patios or balconies. From late spring through summer, it becomes blanketed in clusters of intensely fragrant flowers. Its twining stems benefit from support, such as an obelisk, trellis, or sunny wall. Position it near a seating area to fully enjoy the enchanting scent on warm summer evenings. Containerised plants can then be easily moved to a frost-free position indoors to overwinter.Alternatively, 'Summer Night' performs beautifully in a conservatory or sunlit greenhouse, where it may begin flowering as early as late winter—offering a welcome breath of spring when little else is in bloom.
