Transform your pond into a tropical oasis with the elegant floating foliage and exotic yellow flowers of Hydrocleys nymphoides.This tender perennial boasts glossy, oval leaves that float gracefully on the water's surface. In summer, it produces striking, pale yellow, three-petaled flowers with a reddish-brown centre, each lasting a day but blooming prolifically throughout the season. Usually grown as an annual, Hydrocleys nymphoides offers both beauty and ecological benefits. Its floating foliage absorbs nutrients and offers shade for pond creatures whilst the flowers attract a variety of bees. Native to Central and South America, it thrives in full sun and can spread up to 1.5 metres across, making it ideal for adding a splash of colour to larger water features. Ultimate height: 20cm (8in) . Ultimate spread: 1m (3.2ft).
