The striking pastel pink and blue flowers of Hydrangea aspera 'Hot Chocolate' really are a showstopper! Measuring up to 30cm (12) across, the beautiful clusters of heart-shaped blue blooms and pale pink outer florets compliment the deep chocolate coloured foliage perfectly. The foliage continues to provide interest in autumn as they change to dark green before transforming to shades of gold and orange. Lacecap Hydrangea is a sturdy hardy shrub which will bloom from May to September, requiring very little maintenance and coping well in poor soils. Its large but neat habit makes Hydrangea aspera 'Hot Chocolate' a great addition to sunny or semi-shaded borders.Height and spread: 3m (10').
