Hostas are go to perennials for their fabulous foliage, but with Hosta ?Time in a Bottle? you can also enjoy an unusually long display of brilliant flowers that lasts for up to ten weeks. This distinctive perennial forms a neat mound of wavy, slender foliage that changes from bright yellow to fresh chartreuse as summer progresses. From mid-summer, upright stems rise above the leaves, carrying rich purple flowers that remain partially closed rather than opening fully. Their unusual shape adds character, while the extended flowering season provides weeks of colour and contrast rarely seen in hostas. The combination of vivid foliage and purple flowers creates a striking effect in shaded borders, woodland-inspired planting schemes and mixed perennial displays. Compact and attractively textured, this variety brings interest through much of the growing season, even before its flowers appear. Ultimate height and spread: 45 cm (18 in).
