Dichromena colorata is an unusual shallow water marginal plant well suited to smaller ponds. Whilst most pond plants flower in spring and early summer, Dichromena colorata provides valuable interest late in the season. Slender, grass-like foliage is topped with eye-catching, white, star-shaped bracts that bloom from mid-summer into autumn, adding visual interest well into November.Thriving in full sun to partial shade, Dichromena colorata prefers consistently moist to wet soils, making it ideal for pond margins, bog gardens, and rain gardens. Its slow-spreading habit and upright growth provide graceful vertical accents without becoming invasive. Beyond its ornamental appeal, this plant supports local wildlife, enhancing biodiversity in your garden. Planting depth: 0-5cm. Ultimate height: 40cm to 60cm (16 to 24in). Ultimate spread: 30cm (12in).
