It produces masses of large plum coloured flowers from July until September, it?s petals are velvety in appearance with deeply furrowed sepals. This handsome cultivar spreads to around 1m and grows to a great height of 3m, making it ideal for adding some height to sunny borders. Old man?s beard enjoy climbing, so make sure you give this Clematis some guidance along a trellis, fence or obelisk. Clematis ?Rasputin? grows best in partial shade, this way it?s deep grape blooms will not fade in colour. This Clematis plant is perfect for any sized garden and it?s rich creamy flowers will really add an exotic feel to your outdoor space.
