A late-flowering blueberry that is particularly well-suited to colder spots where early-flowering plants tend to get damaged by frost. Blueberry 'Jersey' is an old, reliable variety that forms a towering, upright deciduous shrub and produces bumper crops of good-sized fruits in late July and August. This mid-late season Blueberry is ideal for growing alongside earlier cropping blueberries to elongate the harvest period into late summer. Blueberries are full of health benefits and taste delicious made into jams or added to muffins and pies. In spring a profusion of sweetly fragranced cream-white blooms will emerge, followed by beautiful flame-coloured leaves in autumn. Blueberry 'Jersey' is self-fertile but will produce higher yields if grown with another blueberry to increase pollination. Perfect for acidic borders or large patio pots filled with ericaceous compostHeight: 1.8m (6ft). Spread 1.5m (5ft).Estimated time to best yields: 28-32 months (16-20 months for 3l potted plant).
