One of the first blackberry varieties to grace the autumn season, Rubus fruticosus 'Direttissima MontBlanc' begins its fruitful journey in August and continues to produce until October. This remarkable primocane blackberry is unique in that it bears fruit on the stems that grow in the current year, which allows for an impressive yield of exceptionally large, glossy berries. These fruits are not only visually appealing but also boast a delightful sweetness and a rich, aromatic flavour that makes them a favourite among berry enthusiasts. What sets 'Direttissima MontBlanc' apart from many other blackberry varieties is its ability to achieve full ripeness for the majority of its fruits, ensuring a bountiful harvest that can be enjoyed over an extended period. As the season progresses, gardeners and berry lovers alike can look forward to plucking these delectable blackberries straight from the vine, relishing in their juicy goodness. This variety not only enhances the autumn landscape with its vibrant fruits but also offers a rewarding experience for those who cultivate it, making it a must-have for any berry garden.Height: 2m (6.5ft). Spread: 2.5m (8.2ft).
