Acer palmatum 'Seiryu'

Acer palmatum 'Seiryu' is a magnificent Japanese maple with a columnar, upright habit. The beautiful light green foliage of Acer palmatum 'Seiryu' changes to magnificent colours of orange, yellow, and red in the autumn. The leaves are dissected delicately, giving them a feathery look. It, like all Acers with finely dissected leaves, will need to be kept in a protected spot out of direct sunlight and away from drying winds. This towering deciduous tree is a wonderful showcase plant for a Japanese garden, rockery, or large patio pot. Height: 7 m (22?). Spread: 3m (10?).
